Planetary Health Subgroup

How can we create a climate-resilient clinical psychology?

We live in an era of substantial anthropogenic climate and ecological disruption. The planet has warmed to 1.1°C above pre-industrial levels, causing increased mortality and morbidity from floods, droughts, and storms. This climate and ecological crisis has far-ranging implications for human health and well-being.

Our subgroup aims to provide UK doctoral programmes in clinical psychology with up-to-date resources to aid research projects, teaching, and placements that will allow the profession to contribute to mitigation and adaptation. Interested in joining or taking part? Please email one of the subgroup co-chairs, Marc Williams (WilliamsM93@cardiff.ac.uk) or Ali Bennetts (A.bennetts@soton.ac.uk).
